💮 How to care for and use your custom stampUpdated 3 months ago
Your custom stamp has been hand-engraved with care and is made to last for years — whether used occasionally or daily. Here’s how to take care of it and get the best results with every impression.
🧼 Before first use
Lightly brush your stamp onto an ink pad to ensure full, even coverage.
Make a few test prints on scrap paper to find your preferred pressure and angle.
Don’t press too hard on the ink pad — a gentle, even touch usually gives the cleanest result.
🖤 Best ink & surfaces
Use a quality ink pad (pigment-based for paper, quick-dry for packaging or non-porous surfaces). We offer quality black ink pads with every custom stamp order. You can order more here.
Ideal surfaces: uncoated paper, kraft, stationery, envelopes, fabric tags.
Avoid glossy or waxy papers unless using specialty ink.

🧽 Cleaning & storage
Clean gently with a soft damp cloth if switching colors
Avoid harsh cleaning products or running under water.
Store your ink pad in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
🛠️ Over time
Stamps may absorb some ink tint over time — this is normal and won’t affect the quality of your impressions.
