✏️ How Many Drafts and Revisions Are Included?Updated 4 months ago
Every custom project includes a clear and collaborative revision process.
Here’s how it works:
1. One Refined Initial Proposal
After receiving your brief, Lauren will illustrate one detailed and composed draft based on your inspirations, preferences, and the story you’ve shared.
This first draft includes all the core visual elements (composition, symbolism, lettering, style) and is designed to be close to the final result — not a rough sketch.
2. One Round of Revisions Included
Once you receive the first draft, you’ll have the opportunity to request edits. This single round of revisions allows you to:
Adjust specific elements (placement, size, style, etc.)
Modify or swap out a symbol
Simplify or enrich certain parts
Tweak the style, tone, or typography
This focused approach ensures that the project remains clear and intentional — while still giving you space to fine-tune the design.
3. How to Give Clear & Helpful Feedback
To make the most of your included revision, it’s important that your feedback is clear, specific, and timely.
We kindly ask that you send your feedback within 48 hours of receiving the draft — this helps keep the project fresh in both your mind and Lauren’s, ensuring a smoother creative flow and faster delivery.
Here are a few tips for effective feedback:
- Be as specific as possible: Instead of saying “It doesn’t feel quite right,” say “Could we make the tree smaller and move the name lower?”
Mention what you love: Highlight the parts that feel perfect to you — this helps us preserve what’s working while adjusting what’s not.
Use visuals if needed: You can send a screenshot with notes or circle areas you'd like to change. Keep in mind that the design is destined to be engraved on a stamp / signet rign / seal / or embosser, and that it will be small, so excessive detail will not be visible.
Gather your feedback before sending: Take a moment to review the draft fully and reflect — this allows us to address all your notes in a single, cohesive revision.
The clearer your feedback, the more accurate and satisfying the result.
3. What’s Not Included
While we’re flexible and collaborative, the following are not part of the included revision rounds:
A complete change of concept or direction after the first draft
Multiple different variations to compare side-by-side
These would require a new creative process and may incur additional design fees.
4. Additional Revisions (If Needed)
If you’d like to continue refining beyond the included round, it’s absolutely possible. Additional revisions are available at a modest fee, starting at 50 euros depending on complexity.
5. Why This Approach Works
This structure is designed to protect the artistic flow while also giving you enough space to shape the final result:
You’re not overwhelmed with too many versions
We focus together on a clear, intentional vision
The process stays efficient, warm, and inspiring
🖋️ You’re Involved at Every Step
We welcome your voice and feedback — you are part of the process. Think of this as a creative exchange: your ideas and our craft come together to create something unique and timeless.
