🖼️ Can you work from an existing logo or image?Updated 6 months ago
Yes — we can absolutely work from an existing logo, sketch, or image, as long as it's compatible with our engraving and illustration process.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. We can adapt or refine your visual
If you already have:
- A logo
- A hand-drawn sketch
- A family crest or coat of arms
- A symbol you’ve seen and loved
…we’re happy to use it as a starting point or reference for your custom stamp, ex-libris, signet ring, seal or embosser engraving.
Depending on the complexity and style, Lauren will either:
- Adapt it into her own line-drawing style
- Refine or simplify it for engraving
- Suit the format and dimensions you’ve chosen
2. It must be compatible with engraving
Keep in mind: the final result is often engraved onto a small surface — such as a rubber stamp, signet ring, wax seal, or embosser. That means:
- Fine detail may need to be simplified
- Very intricate illustrations might not be suitable as-is
- We often rework visuals so they remain elegant and legible at a small scale
If you’re unsure whether your image will work, just send it to us — we’ll advise you honestly.
3. Vector files are welcome (but not required)
If you already have a vector version of your logo (PDF, .AI, .SVG), feel free to include it — it makes adaptation easier. But don’t worry if you don’t have one — we often work from photos or scans and redraw the design by hand.
